Akshay has spent around 7 years in the social sector, all at The/Nudge Institute. His work there has included leading the backbone at Saamuhika Shakti (a first of its kind collective impact initiative in India), leading the org’s marketing function and designing and running India’s largest non profit accelerator. Prior to that, he spent 18 years in the capital markets focussed on equity analysis across various sectors (IT services, cement, hotels, shipping, construction, infrastructure, capital goods and real estate) along with thematic research to shape industry thought processes. Akshay was in the past, Executive Director at Morgan Stanley and holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Anand aims to create an education system in India where every child can realise their potential, regardless of their background. This led to the founding of TAP. Here the focus is on holistic child development through 21st-century education and technology to drive widespread impact. With 14+ years of experience in education, technology, and start-ups, Anand has played a key role in scaling ventures. Before TAP, he built successful VAS products for telecoms, worked at a fintech start-up, and founded a profitable e-commerce business.

Avani Kapur is the Founder and Director of ResGov and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research. A public finance expert with nearly two decades of experience, she specialises in India’s welfare architecture, budget tracking, governance systems, and state capacity. Previously, she led the Accountability Initiative at CPR.

She has authored numerous reports and articles on state finances and governance and has trained IAS officers, MPs, MLAs, and other policymakers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she co-conceptualised PULSE4Development, a platform uniting over 112 organisations to enhance collaboration in the development sector.

Avani is a Tech4Good Fellow, a member of the WICCI Council of Ethics, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Development Policy and Practice. She is an alumnus of LSE and Smith College, Massachusetts.

Dr. Bindu Thirumalai is an adjunct faculty member at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bangalore. She specialises in developing scalable professional development programmes for teachers and support systems, including communities of practice, with a focus on leveraging technology.

Bijano Murry Odyuo is leading the implementation of the NIPUN Bharat Mission in Nagaland, driving efforts to achieve Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). She also oversees Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programs, ensuring a strong learning foundation for young children.

Elijah Bach is a husband, father, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He was the Founder/CEO of a real estate investment firm for 20 years before retiring in 2020. Now, he focuses on global philanthropy, particularly supporting parents in becoming better educated and engaged for their children’s educational and professional success. Born in Seoul, Korea, Elijah moved to Minnesota as a teenager with his homeless, immigrant single mother. He studied at the University of Minnesota and later earned graduate degrees from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania. He serves on several nonprofit boards, plays the violin, and offers free instruments and lessons. Elijah also runs marathons, trains at the gym, and aspires to be the next American Ninja Warrior. He lives in New York City with his wife and children.

Dr Ebbers is a senior international expert in capacity development, training, education, employability, and skill development with international development organizations. Passionate about empowering children and youth to shape their own future, he is working to shift the conversation from education as a service provided, to learning as an active pursuit, led by the learners themselves. In such a shift, knowledge will not just be consumed through education provided, but learning becomes a self-driven process of knowledge creation.

Mangesh Wange is the CEO of Swades Foundation, leading large-scale rural development initiatives in Maharashtra. With over three decades of experience across agriculture, retail, rural finance, and social impact sectors, he has held leadership roles at Mahindra & Mahindra, Godrej Agrovet, Fullerton India, and Thomson Reuters. His expertise lies in rural transformation, strategic planning, livelihood generation, and enterprise development. Under his leadership, Swades Foundation has empowered thousands through youth skilling, livelihood initiatives, and community-driven development. Monal Jayaram is the Co-founder and Director of the School of Education & Systems Change (SESC) at the Piramal School of Leadership, part of the Piramal Foundation. With over two decades of experience in education, she leads programs focused on leadership development and systemic transformation in India’s public education sector. Monal has been instrumental in initiatives like the Principal Leadership Development Program and the Gandhi Fellowship, mentoring young leaders committed to social change. Shri. Kelhikha Kenye, MA, B.ED, PGDEPA (NIEPA New Delhi) is serving as Deputy Mission Director Samagra Shiksha Nagaland. Currently looking after Early Childhood Care & Education, NIPUN Bharat Mission and In-Service Teacher Training Programme in Samagra Shiksha Nagaland. Served as Vice Principal in Government Higher Secondary School from 2016-2019 prior to deployment to Samagra Shiksha. Coordinated in the implementation ECCE Curriculum in the State Government schools from 2024 academic session and implementation of ECCE HPC and Assessment Report Cards for Foundational Stage to track the learning progress of children and training of Government school teachers in the State.

Sonali Saini is a passionate advocate for inclusion and the founder of Sol’s ARC, an NGO dedicated to empowering marginalised populations. She has over 25 years of experience in the space of inclusion and with a vision of “Every Child Learns, Every Adult Earns,” she has scaled the organisation’s impact to collaborate with four state governments and over 30 nonprofits across India. Varsha Verma made a bold decision to enter the social sector after over 30 years of global experience in the IT services industry. She is the Chief of Knowledge and Design atCentre for Exponential Change (C4EC), where she is responsible for knowledge curation and the design of processes that support social mission leaders in achieving their scalability goals. Varsha also collaborates with mission leaders in the healthcare domain and leads HR at C4EC. She has a deep appreciation for all forms of fine arts, particularly sketching and painting.
