Nandan Nilekani Is the Co-Founder and Chairperson of EkStep Foundation. He is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Infosys Technologies Limited. He was the Founding Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in the rank of a Cabinet Minister from 2009- 2014.

Born in Bengaluru, Nilekani received his Bachelor’s degree from IIT, Bombay. Fortune Magazine conferred him with “Asia’s Businessman of the year 2003”.

In 2005 he received the prestigious Joseph Schumpeter prize for innovative services in economy, economic sciences and politics .In 2006, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan.

He was also named Businessman of the year by Forbes Asia. Time magazine listed him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2006 & 2009. Foreign Policy magazine listed him as one of the Top 100 Global thinkers in 2010.

He won The Economist Social & Economic Innovation Award for his leadership of India’s Unique Identification initiative (Aadhaar).

In 2017, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from E & Y. CNBC- TV 18 conferred India Business leader award for outstanding contributor to the Indian Economy-2017 and he also received the 22nd Nikkei Asia Prize for Economic & Business Innovation 2017.

He has been inducted as International Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2019.

Jody Spiro is Director of Education Leadership at The Wallace Foundation.  Her career as a senior educator and manager of education programs has spanned the private, public, nonprofit and international sectors. Benjamin Shuldiner

Benjamin Shuldiner was most recently the Distinguished Lecturer of Education Leadership at Hunter College, City University of New York, where he directed all School and District Leadership programs for the institution. 

In 2015, Ben was appointed to the New York City Board of Education, the largest school system in America, serving over 1.1 million students.  He also was named a trustee of the Board of Education Retirement System, where he helped manage over $5 billion of Pension Assets.

In 2016 and again in 2017, Ben was elected President of ASCD, the largest education professional organization in the USA, comprising over 125,000 members—superintendents, principals, teachers, and advocates from more than 138 countries— including 52 affiliate organizations. The first president to serve two terms, Ben had the longest tenure of any President in the 75-year history of the venerable organization.

Suparna Diwakar

Suparna Diwakar is an educator, and has worked extensively in the development sector in India for over thirty years. Her work has been at different scales ranging from the grassroots to being part of policy making bodies. She has been working in the education sector for the past 25 years. She led an education leadership development programme in Karnataka working with educators in the government school system.

She has been part of the National Resource Group for School Leadership at the National Institute for Education Planning and Administration, as well as a member of a Mission Group for Teacher Education in the Karnataka Knowledge Commission.

Suparna participated in the planning of the restructuring of the teacher support system in Maharashtra. Suparna consults in the education space and is currently a member of a Task Force set up by the government for the implementation of India's National Education Policy 2020 in the state of Karnataka. She also holds the position of Director, Centre for Regenerative Development at Rashtram School of Public Leadership.

She has recently designed and run a course on Regenerative Leadership, and is facilitating organisations to embed principles of regeneration in their design and practice.

Over the past few years she has been exploring the idea of regeneration for thriving and flourishing of all life on Mother Earth, and the contributions that Indic Knowledge Systems can make for Universal Wellbeing.

Deborah Kimathi has led Dignitas' strategic growth since late 2017, leveraging insight and skills honed as a senior development professional, with 20 years' experience in the fields of education and child protection in East Africa. 

As well as overseeing significant organizational growth, Deborah has rallied a global conversation on the role of School Leaders as agents of change, particularly for underserved communities. Dignitas was honored to win a WISE Award in 2020, and was listed in the HundrED Global Collection 2020 and 2021.

In 2021, the World Bank, HundrED and GPE listed Dignitas as one of the world top ten education innovations utilising technology for teacher professional development.

Deborah is also on the leadership team of RELI Africa (Kenya), a member driven organisation bringing together 70 education actors from across East Africa, all focused on improving learning outcomes for children furthest behind.

Arun Maira

Arun Maira was part of Tata Administrative Services for 25 years and held various positions in Tata Group till 1989. He was the first non-bumiputera CEO in Malaysia when he worked for Tatab Industries from 1977-79.[4] Maira was board member of Tata Motors from 1981 to 1989 and played an instrumental role in Tata Motors's entry into the LCV segment.[5][6] He then worked at Arthur D. Little for 10 years where he was Leader of Global Organisation Practice and Managing Director of Innovation Associates, a subsidiary of Arthur D. Little.[7] Maira served as the chairman of Boston Consulting Group in India from 2000 to April 2008.[8] He was then appointed as a member of the Planning Commission of India in 2009. Agustin Porres studied Philosophy at the Catholic University ofArgentina, where he also completed a postgraduate degree in Politics, Government and Administration. He also holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University’s McCourt School.He is the Regional Director of Latin America at the Varkey Foundation, an organisation dedicated to celebrating and empowering the teaching profession around the world.

He worked in the Ministry of Education of the city of Buenos Aires, as well as in the National Social Security Administration. He led the Educational Policy sector of Fundación Contemporánea and was Executive Director of Formar Hubin the United States. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Latin American Coalition for Excellence in Teaching, a group that brings together experts from the region to design reforms for the teaching career.

He frequently writes for the leading media organisations in Argentina and Latin Americaat large. He has recently published Unfinished Business in Education,a book of interviews with 31 former ministers of education from around the world. Annually,he is invited to serve as a judge for organisations that work to recognise teachers in the region.

Fahd Jamaleddine

Fahd Jamaleddine is a social entrepreneur, education consultant, and reform advocate whose interests lie at the intersection of teacher leadership, social innovation, and whole system reform.

In 2014, he co-founded Inspiration Gardens, still up and running, a social innovation in Tripoli that aims to provide a safe, green and creative learning environment to enable personal transformation for students, parents, and teachers. 

In 2020, Fahd founded an educator's community, Learning Land, that has engaged with more than 4,000 educators across Lebanon to co-create sustainable solutions, produce accessible knowledge and push for policy change. 

Fahd is pursuing his graduate degree in Education Policy at the American University of Beirut. Carolina Gimenez fosters learning experiences promoting a collaborative teaching environment. Carolina Giménez is an innovator who seeks to promote universal access to meaningful and quality education through technology. She is an industrial engineer and has an MBA from the IAE Business School. She has worked for over 8 years developing creative and innovative solutions to solve challenges related to education. Carolina has pioneered the design of one of the first MOOCs in Spanish at edX, the MIT & Harvard online learning platform.

Dr. Santhosh Mathew

Dr. Santhosh Mathew currently serves as the Country Lead for Social and Public Finance Policy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in India, having previously completed a distinguished career as a senior civil servant in the Indian Administrative Service in which he served as Additional Chief Secretary for the Government of Bihar and as Chair of the National Council for Teacher Education. Between 2013 and 2017 he served as the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Rural Development within the Indian Government, and he was previously Professor of Social Management at India’s civil service college in Mussoorie and Country Director of the Leadership for Environment and Development program in India. Lisha McCormick

Lisha McCormick serves as Chief Executive Officer of Last Mile Health. In this role, she leads a team of over 200 people supporting five partner countries across Africa to strengthen rural community health systems. She joined the organization in 2013 as the founding Chief Development Officer, and under her leadership, the budget grew ten-fold as the organization expanded from a district-level pilot to partnering with the Government of Liberia to design and scale a historic national community health worker program. In 2017, she was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer and has overseen Last Mile Health’s country programs, business services and fund development as the organization grew from supporting one country to five across Africa.

Bringing over 20 years of non-profit management experience and expertise in strategic partnerships and planning, prior to joining the Last Mile Health team, Lisha’s career was principally focused on public sector healthcare in the United States. In previous roles, she worked to tailor programs and services to meet the needs of runaway and homeless youth, those living with mental illness, and those navigating substance abuse. Lisha holds a Master of Public Health from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, a Certificate in Executive Administration & Non-Profit Management from Harvard Business School, and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Sharmi Surianarain is Chief Impact Officer at Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator. She leads research, knowledge, insights and advocacy, focusing on the impact our tools and capabilities we are making to change the system and contribute to solutions for the African continent. Sharmi brings extensive experience in human capital management, education, and facilitating links to employment across Africa, India, and the United States. She served as Vice President of Lifelong Engagement at African Leadership Academy (ALA) where she oversaw a network of 2,000 young African leaders, managed ALA’s Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, Africa Careers Network, and ALA’s alumni engagement team. Dr. Subramanian Rangan

Dr. Subramanian Rangan received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Ph.D. in political economy from Harvard University.

His current work explores the future of capitalism and in particular how enterprises may better integrate performance and progress. In 2013 he initiated the Society for Progress, a fellowship of eminent philosophers, social scientists, and business leaders (www.societyforprogress.org). Their first work was published in a volume entitled Performance & Progress: Essays on Capitalism, Business, and Society (Oxford University Press, 2015). Their second book is Capitalism Beyond Mutuality? Perspectives Integrating Philosophy and Social Science (Oxford University Press, 2018).

His other research explores the political sociology of discrimination of foreign transnational firms and these firms’ non-market strategies. In 1998 he won the Academy of International Business’ Eldridge Haynes Prize for the best original work in international business. In 1995 that academy awarded their Best Dissertation Award to his doctoral thesis. In 2010 his research won the Emerald award for Top 50 papers in management.

His articles appear in the Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Brookings Papers on Economic Activity, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, Sloan Management Review, and Harvard Business Review. Subi is coauthor of two books: Manager in the International Economy, and A Prism on Globalization. He is associate editor of the Academy of Management Review; former chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals; a member of the board of trustees of Fundacao Dom Cabral, a leading business school in Brazil; and a member of the Board of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.

Dr. Krithi Karanth

Dr. Krithi Karanth is Chief Conservation Scientist and Director at the Centre for Wildlife Studies, Adjunct Faculty at Duke and National Centre for Biological Sciences. She has a Ph.D. from Duke (2008), a M.E.Sc from Yale (2003), and, B.S and B.A degrees from the University of Florida (2001). She has also completed executive-education courses at Harvard, Oxford, and Stanford.As a scientist, her research in India and Asia spanning 23 years encompasses many issues in the human dimensions of wildlife conservation.

She has conducted macro-level studies assessing patterns of species distributions and extinctions, impacts of wildlife tourism, consequences of voluntary resettlement, land use change, and understanding human-wildlife interactions. She has published 100+ scientific and popular articles in English and Kannada. Krithi served on the editorial boards of journals Conservation Biology, Conservation Letters, and Frontiers in Ecology and Environment. Krithi has mentored over 200 young scientists from India, US, Chile, UK, Australia, Indonesia etc. and engaged 750 citizen science volunteers in her research and conservation projects. As a conservationist, she has designed Wild Seve, Wild Shaale, and Wild Surakshe programs.

As a storyteller Krithi has collaborated with painters, illustrators, film-makers, and photographers. Krithi's conservation and research work has been featured in 3 award-winning BBC Series - The Hunt, Big Cats, and Dynasties, and in documentaries by CBC and PBS. She has co-produced 4 documentaries Wild Seve, Humane Highways, Wild Shaale, and Flying Elephants. In 2020 she co-starred with Kevin Pietersen in Save This Rhino: India by Disney Hotstar and National Geographic. Sundeep Talwar is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of The Akshaya Patra Foundation, the world’s largest NGO-run school meal programme, feeding over 1.8 million children (as of March 2020) every day through 58 kitchens across 13 states and 1 UT in India.

Sundeep is a dual post-graduate in management from Duke & IIM-Ahmedabad and certified Black-Belt in Quality, with over 26 years of work experience in marketing & communications with leading corporates, especially in the telecom sector.

Before joining Akshaya Patra as the CMO, he was associated with Aircel as the National Business Head (Mobility Operations), driving their mobile banking operations nationally. Prior to that, he has essayed senior leadership roles with brands like Bharti Airtel, Motorola, Escotel (Idea) & Essar (Vodafone) in India and Africa. He also has an international accreditation from BID Spain for developing the first anti-virus application. He is a seasoned professional trainer and has given talks on various subjects in prestigious schools like the IIM, IIPM and IMT over the years.

His search for ‘Existential Purpose’ in life made him quit a corporate career and join The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation with the — vision: ‘No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger’.

Elena Bonometti

Elena Bonometti is the Chief Executive Officer of Tostan. She is an Italian national with 20 years of professional experience in Africa, specializing in the field-based management of development programs, specifically focusing on community health and economic empowerment. Elena is currently Chief Executive Officer of Tostan, an Africa-based organization that works directly with rural communities leading their own development across five West African countries. Since her appointment as CEO in 2017, Elena has led the development of the Tostan Strategic Engagement Plan for 2019 to 2022, which has committed the organization to the scale of well-being by implementing and sharing Tostan’s model through strategic partnership. Bandana Jha

Ishita Sharma

Ishita Sharma is a feminist, actor and social entrepreneur. She has a Bachelor's degree with a double major in English Literature & Psychology, and M.Sc. in Human Development. Having been trained as a classical dancer, she had a 6 year entrepreneurial stint running her centre for performing arts. She is trained in martial arts, yoga, theatre, storytelling, and various other art forms.

Her cumulative gender experience led to the establishment of the impact-driven, not-for-profit organisation MukkaMaar, that through its work with government partnerships seeks to restore agency in adolescent girls. Sanjay Purohit has over 30 years of diverse and global experience across the  corporate and social development sectors. This spans senior leadership  and entrepreneurial roles in management, corporate strategy, digital transformation, consulting and sustainable development. 

Since 2016, at EkStep Foundation, he is leading the evolution of Societal Thinking (societalplatform.org), a systemic approach to reimagine and  induce exponential social change with speed, at scale, sustainably. He  advises organizations and foundations applying Societal Thinking in domains such as education, healthcare, livelihoods, equity and climate. This includes large scale systems change initiatives supported by Co Impact (co-impact.org), a global philanthropic collaborative. 

Passionate about mentoring young entrepreneurs, he advises startups  supported by Fundamentum (fundamentum.co.in), a scale investment  fund, Nudge CSI (csi.thenudge.org), a not-for-profit incubator and  accelerator, and Edumentum (edumentum.org), a not-for-profit  incubator focused on education. At Infosys (infosys.com), his key responsibilities included Executive Vice  President, Corporate Strategy, Chairman and MD, Infosys Consulting and  Founder and CEO, EdgeVerve, a subsidiary focused on digital platforms.  Under his leadership, Infosys won the Force of Ideas Award from  Corporate Strategy Board, USA, for innovative planning methods. His  Balanced Scorecard based strategy execution approach led Infosys to  become the 1st IT Services company globally to win the Hall of Fame  Award. Prior to Infosys, at Tata Sons, he developed the Tata Business  Excellence Model (tatabex.com), which has been leveraged by the Tata  Group Companies to develop resilient institutions over the last 20 years.

Rucha Pande is the Head- CoLab at Mantra4Change since April 2021. Prior to this, she headed the Design team at the organization since 2017. Santosh More

Santosh More worked with Infosys Technologies for 2.5 years after completing his Engineering. In 2009, he joined the 2-year Teach for India fellowship, where he taught Grade 2 students in a Govt.-run school for 2 years. Post his fellowship, Santosh joined Janaagraha and worked as Program Manager for 2.5 years, where he led the national level ‘Jaagte Raho’ campaign for Voter awareness. While working at Janaagraha, Santosh co-founded Mantra Social Services (Mantra4Change) in March 2013 with a vision to help under-resourced schools provide quality education. Since June 2014, Santosh has been working with Mantra in a full-time capacity.

Ketika Nirula

Ketika Nirula is an engineer from VITU. During the 4 years of engineering, she started out as a teacher in Make A Difference(MAD) and ran the program in a shelter home as the Center Head Fellow. Beginning her career as a data analyst in Mu Sigma, she decided to quit and continue her journey in the development sector. 

She did the Teach for India Fellowship, teaching 5th graders in Bangalore for 2 years, post which, joined Mantra4Change and was a part of the Punjab Education Collective since its inception. She deeply believes in people power as a tool for change.

S.D. Shibulal (Shibu) is the Co-founder, former Member of the Board and CEO of Infosys Ltd. Prior to becoming the CEO and Managing Director, Shibu served as the Chief Operating Officer from 2007 to 2011. Earlier, Shibu held a number of senior leadership roles including: Head of Worldwide Sales and Customer Delivery. Shruti Shibulal

Shruti Shibulal is CEO and Director of Tamara Leisure Experiences. She strives to make Tamara synonymous with responsible tourism by incorporating principles of sustainability into the development and operations of each of Tamara's properties and creating impactful employment within their respective communities. Tamara operates resorts and hotels in South India, and has interests in Germany as well. Fahd Jamaleddine

Fahd Jamaleddine is a social entrepreneur, education consultant, and reform advocate whose interests lie at the intersection of teacher leadership, social innovation, and whole system reform.

In 2014, he co-founded Inspiration Gardens, still up and running, a social innovation in Tripoli that aims to provide a safe, green and creative learning environment to enable personal transformation for students, parents, and teachers.

Dr. Subramanian Rangan

Dr. Subramanian Rangan received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Ph.D. in political economy from Harvard University.

His current work explores the future of capitalism and in particular how enterprises may better integrate performance and progress. In 2013 he initiated the Society for Progress, a fellowship of eminent philosophers, social scientists, and business leaders (www.societyforprogress.org). Their first work was published in a volume entitled Performance & Progress: Essays on Capitalism, Business, and Society (Oxford University Press, 2015). Their second book is Capitalism Beyond Mutuality? Perspectives Integrating Philosophy and Social Science (Oxford University Press, 2018).

His other research explores the political sociology of discrimination of foreign transnational firms and these firms’ non-market strategies. In 1998 he won the Academy of International Business’ Eldridge Haynes Prize for the best original work in international business. In 1995 that academy awarded their Best Dissertation Award to his doctoral thesis. In 2010 his research won the Emerald award for Top 50 papers in management.

His articles appear in the Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Brookings Papers on Economic Activity, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, Sloan Management Review, and Harvard Business Review. Subi is coauthor of two books: Manager in the International Economy, and A Prism on Globalization. He is associate editor of the Academy of Management Review; former chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals; a member of the board of trustees of Fundacao Dom Cabral, a leading business school in Brazil; and a member of the Board of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.

Subi directs INSEAD’s top executive seminar AVIRA: Awareness, Vision, Imagination, Role, and Action, as well as the newly launched Integrating Performance & Progress. Lisha McCormick

Lisha McCormick serves as Chief Executive Officer of Last Mile Health. In this role, she leads a team of over 200 people supporting five partner countries across Africa to strengthen rural community health systems. She joined the organization in 2013 as the founding Chief Development Officer, and under her leadership, the budget grew ten-fold as the organization expanded from a district-level pilot to partnering with the Government of Liberia to design and scale a historic national community health worker program. In 2017, she was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer and has overseen Last Mile Health’s country programs, business services and fund development as the organization grew from supporting one country to five across Africa.

Bringing over 20 years of non-profit management experience and expertise in strategic partnerships and planning, prior to joining the Last Mile Health team, Lisha’s career was principally focused on public sector healthcare in the United States. In previous roles, she worked to tailor programs and services to meet the needs of runaway and homeless youth, those living with mental illness, and those navigating substance abuse. His focus here was on the development of strategies related to industrialisation and urbanisation.

Passionate about mentoring young entrepreneurs, he advises startups  supported by Fundamentum (fundamentum.co.in), a scale investment  fund, Nudge CSI (csi.thenudge.org), a not-for-profit incubator and  accelerator, and Edumentum (edumentum.org), a not-for-profit  incubator focused on education. He Chairs the Innovation Advisory  Board at Unleash (unleash.org), a global talent initiative focused on  Sustainable Development Goals, and is an Advisory Board Member at  Sparks & Honey (sparksandhoney.com), a cultural consultancy. Strategy, Chairman and MD, Infosys Consulting and  Founder and CEO, EdgeVerve, a subsidiary focused on digital platforms.  Under his leadership, Infosys won the Force of Ideas Award from  Corporate Strategy Board, USA, for innovative planning methods. His  Balanced Scorecard based strategy execution approach led Infosys to  become the 1st IT Services company globally to win the Hall of Fame  Award. Prior to Infosys, at Tata Sons, he developed the Tata Business  Excellence Model (tatabex.com), which has been leveraged by the Tata  Group Companies to develop resilient institutions over the last 20 years.

Neeraj Doddamane is the Manager - Strategy and Growth at Shiksha Lokam - an NGO enabling and amplifying leadership development opportunities for individuals and institutions engaged in K-12 education systems in India. In addition to driving the organisation's growth, Neeraj leads and orchestrates the organisation’s national programs and key strategic initiatives across teams such as ELEVATE, SolvED, MentorED, etc. to name a few.

Prior to Shiksha lokam, Neeraj was a Teach For India fellow and taught Grade 6-7 at a government aided school in Bangalore. Additionally,he is a HundrED Ambassador, A Global Shaper,  Director of Strategy at Canasu Dream Foundation, and Programs and Strategy Consultant at Anahata Mind Foundation .

A trained singer and a violinist, Neeraj loves to travel. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
